Gospel Centred Discipleship

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20

Over the past year or two, God has been moving in the hearts of our church leaders to renew and sharpen our focus on the core elements of our ministry as a church.

The simple outcome is that we want to become a church that is characterized by Gospel Centred Discipleship. We want to see people whole-heartedly following Jesus for their joy and God's glory, so that we can each be more effective in our role within God’s mission of redeeming the world to himself.

What does a Disciple of Jesus Christ look like?

A disciple is a person who has been saved by God’s grace and who is, in response to God’s grace, passionately committed to following Jesus Christ in a joyful life of personal devotion, corporate worship, significant community, sacrificial service and redemptive influence.

Moving People to the Right

Understanding that different people are at different stages in their spiritual journey, we are committed to continually moving people to the right, that is, moving them towards maturity in Christ.

"He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me."
Colossians 1:28-29
