Alpha Course

The Alpha course is a fun way to explore the Christian faith and to ask the important questions of life. It starts with an introductory dinner. Thereafter guests decide if they would like to sign up for the rest of the course.
The course was developed by Nicky Gumbel - an Anglican Pastor from Holy Trinity church in London.

Starting 1 February 2017

Beginning on 1 February 2017, we will have Alpha courses operating on Wednesday evenings at the church. We would love for you to join us!
For any Enquiries, please contact Erin at the church office: 011 784 6214.

What is it?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith (that’s probably why over 18 million people around the world have already done it!).

Who is it for?

Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment.
No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.

How does it work?

Our Alpha Course is eight sessions with a Saturday event towards the end. Each session includes food, a short video from the exciting new Alpha Film Series and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts. At any point, if you think Alpha isn’t for you, that’s not a problem. There’s no pressure, no follow up and no charge.

How much is it?

There is no charge, though contributions towards the food are welcome.

What’s so great about it?

Ever wanted to explore the meaning of life or ask challenging questions about the Christian faith? Maybe you’re just curious about church and want to find out more? Alpha doesn’t care about your background and it welcomes all those big questions.

How do i join?

If you would like to join our next Alpha course, please just RSVP and join us at the next introductory dinner.
