Teacher Posts & Internship at Treverton

Treverton is looking for an English teacher, a Drama teacher, an isiZulu teacher and intern, starting January 2023.

Treverton is an independent evangelical Christian school, situated on a unique 270-hectare campus in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. Treverton caters for boys and girls from Grades 000 to 12 and strives to provide a balanced, quality education based on a strong Christian foundation.

The requirements for the English & LO Teacher position are:

  • The candidate shall be a Christian and a member of his/her local church.
  • Proof of registration with SACE.
  • Experience in teaching English First Language and Life Orientation at Grade 12 level is essential.
  • Be computer literate and able to integrate IT in the teaching programme.
  • Experience in the independent school sector and IEB teaching experience will be a distinct advantage.
  • The ideal candidate will have an established track record, be respected in his/her field and have a strong sense of team.
  • A willingness to participate in the broader life of the school is a pre-requisite.
  • The ability to lead adventure activities like hikes, mountain-bike rides, kayaking trips etc. will be an advantage.

The requirements for the intern position are:

  • The candidate shall be a Christian and a member of his/her local church.
  • Desires to study teaching
  • A willingness to participate in the broader life of the school is a pre-requisite.
  • The willingness to participate in adventure activities like hikes, mountain-bike rides, kayaking trips etc. will be an advantage.
  • Accommodation and meals supplied. Monthly stipend and contribution towards studies also included
