At the recent AGM meeting held on April 2025, we did provide some high-level feedback on the financial results expected as of 31 March in respect of the first quarter of the year ending 31 December 2025.
The more detailed completed financial results for the period 1 January 2025 to 31 March 2025 are set out in the table below:
Key highlights
Lesedi
RUC continues to support this new church plant. Practically, RUC will need to continue supporting this church plant. Thank you for your financial support that has enabled RUC to meet the financial needs of this new church.
Johannesburg Bible College
The Thanksgiving offering in November 2024 has raised around R160 000. In addition to that, RUC has a budget contribution of R300 000 for 2025. Direct patron support to JBC has been approximately R350 000 to date. We encourage members to provide direct patron support to this initiative which trains pastors and other leaders
Projects
We are in the process of installing new roof top air-conditioner units. This is being done from the 2024-year surplus. The estimated cost is R1.6 million.
RUC has launched ‘save a seat’ campaign to establish a fund for replacing the seating cushion and seat back of the auditorium chairs. The current chairs have been in use for close to 25 years. We encourage everyone to get involved in this project and individually or as a group contribute R1 500 per seat. This would be an additional sacrificial gift to see someone else use that seat to come to know Jesus Christ and the power of the gospel.
Wisdom for living
We have learnt from Isaiah that God detests pride, and we need to focus on honouring and loving the true God by believing in Jessus Christ, His son and our saviour. Giving is a tangible way of acknowledging God and honouring Him with our wealth. We give praise to God for His provision for our needs, both for our personal circumstances and for Rosebank Union Church.
Blessings and appreciation to all of you.
