Theology 101
Four courses providing an introduction and overview of the Bible and Christian Theology
Module 1
An introduction to the origin, background and purpose of the Bible, including the Bible in historical context, canon of the Old and New Testament, Bible history and events, inspiration & authority of the Bible, text and manuscripts, Bible translation.
Module 2
A book-by-book study of the Old Testament, covering the historical context of Old Testament events, summary of the contents, outline and message of all the Old Testament books.
Module 3
A book-by-book study of the New Testament, covering the historical context of New Testament events, summary of the contents, outline and message of each New Testament book
Module 4
A study of the basic message of the Bible and our understanding of God from the whole Bible. The course covers our belief in God, creation, mankind, salvation, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Church and the Second Coming.
These lectures are made available free of charge for your own personal study. There is no accreditation for completing them. If you wish to study towards accreditation for Christian Ministry we would encourage you to approach the Baptist Theological College or The South African Theological Seminary.
