Discipleship Training

Envisioning and Equipping – inspired, refueled and equipped to fulfill the great commission.

Discipleship Training with Dr. Monte Starkes & Bryan Brown from Christ Community, Florida (USA)

Sunday 19 October:
Gospel Waltz

How are we to live as Christians everyday? How are we to walk in the Spirit, and be filled in the Spirit (Gal. 5:16, Eph. 5:18)? How do I deny myself, take up my cross, and follow Jesus (Luke 9:23)? This training will focus on how to do all these and more.

We will learn how to “Gospel Waltz”, how to live moment by moment with our hearts needy for Jesus, and depending on the Spirit. As many theologians have said throughout church history, we will learn how to live a life of repentance. Christians today struggle with what is true repentance, and what it does and doesn’t look like in our daily walks with Jesus and others.

This equipping in the “Gospel Waltz” is for any believer who desires to trust and rest in the righteousness of Christ, and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. We will also learn how to help those around us to run to Jesus, and walk in the freedom of the Gospel.

Sunday 19 October:
Pursuing the heart

This workshop is a training that helps you know how to focus on the long-lasting target of transformation, the heart. Proverbs 4:23 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life” (NIV).

How are we to engage one another in the Gospel? By primarily looking at our performance and behavior, by only giving others more information, or by targeting hearts? God has given us a new heart and filled it with His love by the Holy Spirit (Ez. 36:26, Rom. 5:5).

This equipping centers on how to Biblically understand the depths of your own heart as created in the image of God, at the same time learning how to target other people’s heart to see lasting transformation happen. Jesus targeted hearts for transformation, and we need to follow His example. This training will encourage you to pursue others in all your relationships – CG, discipleship groups, marriage, parenting, workplace, friendships, etc.

Monday 20 October:
Envisioning / Seminar

Come and hear about Life on Life Missional Discipleship. We are pastors leading Life-on-Life Missional Discipleship movements in our own churches, and we have seen it transform our people and impact our communities. We would love to serve you and help you launch a group in your own church.

Our desire is to disciple like Jesus discipled his men, following the greatest disciple-maker. We have seen discipleship movements begin and flourish, by God’s grace, in 6 continents, and over 20 nations, in hundreds of churches, over the past 15+ years. LOLMD has established a training and coaching process that is built with discipleship as the foundation.

The Envisioning is 2 to 2.5 hours, where we cover the training process and seek to answer your questions.
