Community Groups
Eat. Love. Pray.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”Hebrews 10:24-25
Community Groups at RUC could be summed up very simply as Community around the Gospel. Groups of around 8-12 people meet each week in homes all over our city for 2-3 hours of socializing around some food or coffee, examining and discussing God’s word, sharing what’s happening in their lives, and praying for each other. The goal is that each person can be known, loved and equipped to grow in their walk with God.
At Rosebank we are not prescriptive around the material that groups should use. Typically the church and pastors will provide some discussion material for groups to use to coincide with a relevant teaching series. At other times group leaders may either prepare their own bible-based material or use material available in our digital library.

We want every member of our church to be connected in significant community so we are always in need of new leaders who can host groups in their home and facilitate group discussions. If you’re a member of our church and you’re interested in leading, please get in touch! Leaders will be provided with some oversight and training as well as regular resources that align with what is being taught in the church.
Another way to get connected into a Community Group is through our Connect Groups. This is a Community group held at the church that meets once a week for a defined period and gives new people the opportunity to experience how Community Groups function.
If you are interested in joining a Connect Group, please check the upcoming events or contact rozanne@ruc.org,za
