What a wonderful Missions Sunday as we all came together on Sunday 19 May to celebrate Pentecost. We were challenged by Jeremy Sieberhagen to reach out with the wonderful news of Jesus to the ‘Ends of the Earth’.

Scores of volunteers of different nationalities from our RUC family shared in the prayer for unreached people groups, and gave us a tiny taste of Revelation 7:9 –‘I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a mighty shout, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!”’

The “Wall of Remembrance” of more than 7000 unreached people groups was an urgent reminder that we all need to be involved in praying to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest field (Matthew 9:38).

Hundreds of people committed to pray for an unreached people group and entered the competition to win an air ticket on the next short term mission trip, and the lucky winner was Clive Belsham.

Thank you to everyone who worked together to make this such a special service.
